Georgia CVMA Chapter member Chad "Regulator" Tackett has pledged to ride over 1000 miles in 24 hours to help raise funds for the Fisher House Foundation - a home away from home for familes of wounded warriors.  To get to the starting point for the 1000 mile ride he'll have to ride from Augusta, Georgia to St. Louis, Missouri.  Then he'll have 24 hours to make it to Spearfish, South Dakota - 1000 miles.

Much like a walk-a-thon, he's seeking sponsors willing to contribute to Fisher House for each mile riden on his 1000 mile trek.  Please support Chad in his efforts to raise funds for this wonderful organization that does so much for our soldiers.

We participate in various fund raising events and sponsor association activities for the benefit of Veterans throughout the State of Georgia.    These functions serve to raise awareness for the plight of POW’s, MIA’s and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) of Veterans returning from combat theaters and the impact on their families. We actively support venues promoting patriotism and support Veteran’s organizations and issues throughout the state.

The emblem of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association is in the shape of a skull encompassed by the following colors:
Red - representing the blood that has been shed on the battlefield;  Military Gold - representing the many ethnic backgrounds in the Armed Forces; and Black - representing the heavy hearts possessed for those who gave their lives and for those still considered missing in action or prisoners of war.  The skull and ace of spades represent the death that war leaves in its wake.
